Review the supported maintenance schedules and retention defaults for a self-hosted deployment.
The supported installation schedules maintenance for Microsoft trust updates, analytics, and organization-log processing. Review these schedules after installation and after every upgrade.

Analytics retention defaults are 30 days for raw data, 90 days for one-minute data, 365 days for 15- and 30-minute data, and 1,095 days for hourly and four-hour data. Daily and usage data are retained long term by default. You can set supported analytics retention overrides from 1 to 36,500 days.
The cleanup command applies retention to acknowledged alerts, sign-in history, audit activity, expired invitations, and expired diagnostic files. It is not scheduled by default. Before scheduling it, confirm that its retention behavior meets your organization’s legal, contractual, and incident-response requirements. Maintenance-log rotation runs daily and keeps 14 compressed rotations by default.
