Configure attributes and preview effective signatures
Configure user, group, and domain attribute mappings and inspect effective signature resolution.
Use Attributes to define values used by templates and Preview to inspect the signature Sigora would apply to a sender. You need the relevant attribute view or edit permission for each user, group, or domain scope. Full preview also requires template-view access.
Configure attribute mappings
An attribute mapping assigns a value to a user, group, or domain. You can choose an available attribute or create a custom name using letters, numbers, periods, underscores, or hyphens, up to 64 characters. User mappings take priority over group mappings, and group mappings take priority over domain mappings. Within the same scope, use the configured order to control which value applies.
Select Overwrite when the mapping must replace an existing value. Leave it off when the mapping should fill a blank value only. Preview shows the final values used in the signature, including available address and sender information.
- Select the User, Group, or Domain tab.
- Select Add.
- Choose or import the target, then enter the attribute name, value, and overwrite behavior.
- Save the mapping and open full preview.
Import a group from the Microsoft tenant that owns it. The mapping remains associated with that tenant, and the displayed group name can be refreshed from Microsoft. If a group is moved or recreated in Microsoft, review its mappings before relying on them.
Verify the effective signature
Open Preview, select a representative sender, and review the selected Base Template, Modules by slot, assignment order, active schedules, warnings, and resolved attributes. Use full preview to test the live configuration. The preview in the template editor only shows the template version currently being edited or viewed.
Correct preview warnings before testing production mail. Common issues include no matching Base Template, an unpublished template, an ambiguous group order, or unavailable group membership.
Attribute and assignment changes may take a short time to reach all Nodes. Verify the expected result with a controlled message. Do not place credentials or other sensitive values in a template, even if preview can display them.
